The Upside-Down Kingdom or ɯopƃuᴉʞ uʍop-ǝpᴉsd∩ ǝɥ┴

Many times, church life is characterized by a kind of triumphalism.

(Triumphalism - excessive exultation over one's success or achievements.)

We can make the Christian life seem like it should be a series of victories from one mountain top to another.  As we've looked at Paul's letters in the New Testament over the last few months at GLC, we've seen a different emphasis.  Tullian Tchividjian (yes, I spelled his name right without google) writes a great article here about what faith actually looks like, and how in God's economy, "becoming less" is actually growth.

"The hope of the Christian faith is dependent on God’s display of strength, not ours"
